aliquid novi is the name given to a new musical adventure formed by Pittsburgh, PA songwriter and producer Adam G. Levine. Adam formed the concept of aliquid novi in a quarantine fever dream with one singular directive - to try to find small moments of beauty and unrestricted joy in a period of isolation and confusion, and then stretch them out to a universal scale for further exploration. Inspired by well-known acts such as Radiohead, Jose Gonzalez, Mac DeMarco, St. Vincent, Local Natives, and just about everything else he sees & hears, the aliquid novi mission is to seek out clever lyrics and poppy hooks and combine them with energizing, imaginative music that takes the listener on a journey.
aliquid novi has one collection released to streaming services - "nothing", originally released in 2021 and then remastered in 2022. "nothing" is an EP about trying to grow as a person and finding yourself surrounded by examples of what NOT to do. aliquid novi also has an upcoming release, HEAT, is inspired by the sights and sounds and feels of the humid days of summer and is meant to capture the feelings of learning to trust yourself again after a period of confusion.
